🌐🔰 What Is a Payload ? 🌐🔰
In computing and telecommunications sectors , the payload is the transmitted data that is the actual message. Headers and metadata are sent only to enable payload delivery.
The working of data transmission is when data is sent over the Internet, every unit is transmitted with both header information and the actual data being sent. The header identifies the source and destination of the packet, while the actual data is referred to as the payload. Because header information , is only used in the transmission process, it is excluded from the packet when it reaches its destination. Therefore, the payload is the only data received by the destination system.
In hacking feild , we use it in a quite similar way with some malicious scripts .
Basically Payload can be any program/Image/.apk /.pdf /File / Folder with a backdoor access so that the Hacker or The Intruder can access the system once it's on the victim's PC /Device / System.
⚠ Payloads can be injected to your machine in different possible ways so be careful when downloading or clicking on untrusted links or downloading from untrusted sources (Without HTTPS in website domain ) ⚠
That is why ,every browser shows you an error message when visiting a harmful site.
