 Hello guys welcome again to our blog , today we are going to learn a new thing which is related to new technology. I am sure you are very well known to WI-FI (WIRELESS FEDILITY). This thing is very much related to this topic. As you have read above we are going to learn about LI-FI (LIGHT FEDILITY). Light fedility technology is a wireless communication technology which can be thought of as a light based WI-FI. Light is used to transmit information instead of radio waves. 

The term was first introduced in july 2011 by German Scientist Harold Hass in Edinburgh. If we say in technical terms, it is a light communication system that transmits data at a high speed over the light.This will be beneficial than WI-FI as it will provide high bandwidth , efficiency and ease of use. 

Nowadays, most trending name of wireless communication is WI-FI but the LI-FI would be the upcoming most trending wireless communication system in future. As the internet users are increasing rapidly, it is obvious that the speed of a particular network must be faster. This is gonna happen by installing LI-FI. This communication system uses light because light intensity changes quicker than the human eye for capturing.

Li-Fi system mainly includes two parts the transmitter and receiver. The input signal at the transmitter section can be modulated with a specific time period then send the data using LED bulbs in binary (0 & 1) form. Here, the flashes of LED bulbs are denoted with 0’s and 1’s. At the receiver end, a photodiode is used to receive the LED flashes empower the signal & shows the output.A photodiode is a semiconductor device that converts light into an electrical current. The current is generated when photons are absorbed in the photodiode. The transmitter section includes the input , the input type can be a text or even an audio.
The receiver section includes photodiode as well as amplifier. Here, photodiode receives the LED bulb flashes then changes the flashes into electrical signals. Finally,the amplifier receives the signals from the photodiode and amplifies to provide the output. 

The light is the main source of data communication in LI-FI. Stronger the light stronger the connection and vice-versa. Light should be visible to receiver to complete the circuit of communication. Any kind of barrier would break the communication. Li-Fi can provide the speed more than 200 GBps.
The ON/Off activity of LEDs permits a type of data transmission in the form of binary codes but the human eye cannot recognize this transform & the bulbs appear with a stable intensity. That is why LEDs are in use for this system. 


ADVANTAGES OF LI-FI 


1: SPEED - The speed of the Li-Fi is very high, and we can watch the videos without buffering.

2: Consistent - The data transfer is more protected.  

3: Security - The light of the Li-Fi doesn’t run through the partition or bridge connection, therefore, it is more protected and hacking is not possible.

DISADVANTAGES OF LI-FI


1: STABILITY - The reciever has to be stable a long as the light is stable, the connection will be stable . It requires continues sight.

2: DISTURBANCE - Another disadvantage of this system is that an exterior light such as bulbs , tublights may disturb the connection.
