WHAT IS QUICK RESPONSE CODE?
So here we are with a new topic , which is QR Code ( Quick Response Code ). We often see it , use it , keep it , scan it , save it and even use it . But do we really know about it ?
DONT WORRY BUDDIES !!!😏
I am going to introduce you with a very useful mode which is used for payments, scanning, information, linking and many other things. QR code is a type of 2d bar code which is used to provide easy access to information .
It works as a process in which a person having a QR code need to show its QR code in order to share information and the second person who is willing to get information have to scan a QR code with the help of QR interpreting software which reads or interpret the code and perform the action which it was intended . So that was the complete working process of QR code scanning process. The action taken by the interpreter could be a link to download an application or a software , could be a link to someone's profile or account , could be a link to download any kind of media like images , videos , files .etc , could be a link to vote somewhere . It can be used in manu different things. Many of the MNCs are using this for a long time like PAYTM. PAYTM started using QR code for sharing paytm wallet money to his friend's wallet . Nowadays, we can pay somewhere using paytm via QR code . Not only paytm many other companies are now using QR code.It is a very efficient method to store data in a code.
It was actually started in 1994 by a japanese company ,Denvo Wave Corporation. Their role was vehicle tracking and high-speed component scanning in the automobile industry.
The most common type of bar code is 1D Barcode which is commonly seen on the packets of biscuits , snacks or any beverage. It actually stores alphanumerical data in it . You can see the numbers and alphabets are written below the bar code. This stores only alphanumerical values. The most stores uses barcode scanners to scan items for sale.
The QR code can store links, videos , graphics , images, text , passwords. It can be created by your mobile also . Many sites are providing a facility to create a QR code for free. One if the site is qrcode-monkey.com . Here you can create a QR code for free and not only creation you can design your QR code in your own way.
TYPES OF QR CODE
STATIC QR CODE :
The information stored or encoded in Static QR codes are fixed. The data is stored directly in the QR Code graphic (hence QR codes are also getting larger and form a more complex pattern if there is more data to store). Therefore, the stored data cannot be changed. Any typo in an already printed QR code cannot be changed, as with any other printed material. The user can track information about the number of times a code was scanned and how many times it had been scanned.
DYNAMIC QR CODE :
A Short URL is placed into the QR code which then re-directs the user to the intended destination. The destination of a dynamic QR code can be changed at any time – even if your material has already been printed. This will save reprinting costs, effort and enable you to respond to any changes in the campaign as quickly as possible.
